  Tomato Preserves  Peel & cut tomatoes into quarters.
Place over fire & stir gently until juice is formed.
After juice forms, cook rapidly until liquid is almost gone.
And it is really thick.
Be careful not to burn the tomatoes.
Estimate how many cups of tomatoes you have & then add an equal amount of sugar.  Cook again until thick.
Test on a dish to see if it gets thick enough when cool.
Watch & stir often so it doesn't burn.
Put into jars & seal, like you do when canning.  Elfrieda Postma  
